PM Provides Free Entry to Angkor Wat for all SEA Games Athletes

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen announced that all foreign players who came for the SEA Games can visit Angkor Wat free of charge.

The Prime Minister sent this message to the Angkor Institute to facilitate the coordination of foreign players and all SEA Games delegates who want to visit the Angkor area.

He said the move is meant to help foreigners get to know Cambodia better, which was also the motivating factor for providing free room and board to the athletes in addition to free foreign broadcasting rights for the SEA Games.

Speaking at a graduation ceremony for students of three schools of agriculture at the Koh Pich Exhibition Center on the morning of May 15, he clarified that only SEA Games athletes and sports delegates will be granted free entry to Angkor Wat, while sports fans will still be charged the regular fee.
